Relaxation under the Spanish sun at Aguas de Ibiza

Last June, I had the opportunity to spend a beautiful family holiday at the superb Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel. Nine days of escape on the island of Ibiza with Elena, our 4-year-old daughter.t

As soon as we arrived, the staff came to collect our luggage before taking care of parking our car in the free car park opposite the building. At check-in, which was fairly quick, we were treated to welcome refreshments. Two glasses of Cava for my wife and I and a fruit juice for Elena were much appreciated after our journey. Thanks to the smiling, warm and helpful reception team, the stay started off without a hitch!

When we booked the hotel, we had opted for a standard room, but we were offered an upgrade to a superior room. We opted for a Deluxe room overlooking the pool, a larger space that better suited our needs. Our daughter was placed in the lounge area where she slept on a comfortable sofa bed. There were small chocolates as a welcome gift, as well as bathrobes and slippers for adults and children on the bed. A very nice touch!

The breakfasts were excellent! Every morning, we were treated to a fabulous, generous and varied buffet: juices, fruit, cereals, pastries, savouries… Enough to start the day full of energy and to treat ourselves to the three of us. Not forgetting the staff who were really friendly. They came by to say hello to our daughter every morning and asked her a few nice questions along the way.

For lunch or dinner, I highly recommend Maymanta, the highlight of the Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel, as it is located on the rooftop. We enjoyed delicious Peruvian dishes while enjoying the absolutely splendid panorama. The atmosphere, the design, the view and the food… the perfect mix to make us travel. We also had lunch at Alabastro where we opted for tasty club sandwiches. The children’s meals were tasty, the service was friendly and the dining areas were always spotless.

In terms of facilities, we greatly appreciated the swimming pool. Indeed, it offered many advantages, especially for families: under supervision, several levels of depth, a part for adults and a part dedicated to children, an ideal temperature, water with little chlorine and always clean. We found nothing to complain about! As for the spa, it offers a very complete menu of treatments. 

The resort also houses a kids’ club that reflects the hotel’s image: design, warm and overflowing with toys. The children must have a lot of fun there. Unfortunately, Elena could not enjoy it, as it was temporarily closed due to the health situation. But that’s just a temporary setback, we can’t wait to come back so she can discover it the next time we’re in Ibiza.

One of the biggest strengths of the hotel is the location, everything is nearby, we found this very convenient! We did a lot of walking around the island, including one to Santa Gertrudis, a lovely quiet village just a few minutes’ drive away. We also went to Cala Boix, an ash-coloured beach surrounded by mountains.

Elena loved it! Family friendly, intimate and with sun loungers available, it’s a place I highly recommend. During our outings around the hotel, we had the opportunity to try a handful of typical restaurants: Casa Maca (delicious), l’Amante (dishes to be enjoyed in front of a breathtaking view), Casa Jondal (beautiful place and relaxed atmosphere) … The location is just perfect!

This trip did us a lot of good and gave us the opportunity to recharge our batteries and get some sun. My daughter, my partner and I had a great time together and have very fond memories.

It was a stay in line with our expectations, the Agua de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel was very good overall and has many assets. The staff were friendly, the room comfortable, the food tasty, the location ideal and the atmosphere very family friendly! We would recommend this hotel to couples and families alike who want to have a good time and discover Ibiza in a chic and original way.
