Wonderful sunny stay at the Elysium

After a little over 4 hours by plane, I arrived in Paphos for a stay at the Elysium, a luxurious establishment on the seafront.

A warm welcome

After a twenty-kilometer transfer, I arrived at the Elysium. My luggage was quickly taken care of and check-in went smoothly, topped off with a welcome drink. I stayed in a Deluxe Room with King-size bed, with a sumptuous sea view.

« The staff is smiling and very welcoming »

The premises are spacious and, above all, the bed is incredibly comfortable, perfect for a little break after those hours on the plane. I must emphasize the incredible view from my room, I had no idea it would be so majestic.

Sun and pools

I then decided to stretch my legs and do a little sightseeing around the hotel, especially as the sunny weather lent itself to this. I discovered several swimming pools and a rather typical architecture, which blends in perfectly with its surroundings.

I then took a detour to the seafront, lined with palm trees and a sandy beach. It’s a good thing I hadn’t packed my stuff, but I’d have loved to have taken a dip in that sea (which was only a postponement, as I went back the next day)!

I also discovered a children’s corner with games, swings and a paddling pool, perfect for the kids to cool off too! In fact, the paddling pool has its own slide!

« A paradise for parents and children alike »

A very special mention goes to the children’s and teenager’s facilities, with games such as table soccer, billiards, arcade terminals and the baby-sitting area, which, to my surprise, was very spacious, admittedly secluded but offering just the right amount of peace and quiet for the little ones, with the added bonus of a napping area at the back. Parents have nothing to worry about!

Gastronomy and last visit

What would a hotel be without fine cuisine? I had the opportunity to lunch at Ristorante Bacco, which offers Italian gastronomy, and to dine at Mediterraneo Restaurant, for Mediterranean varieties on a terrace overlooking the sea.

Generally speaking, the food was really enjoyable, without transcending the senses. Let’s just say that for family meals, it’s top-notch: the children won’t feel too out of place, and the parents are bound to find something to their liking. A good compromise that makes for a smooth family stay! The service was even impeccable!

Conclusion

Children’s facilities, an excellent babysitting service, several swimming pools, the beach nearby… Admittedly, the gastronomy wasn’t stellar, but will suit the whole family, the Elysium ticks more than enough boxes for a successful family vacation!
