For several months, we had been preparing this family trip to Canada. An 18-day trip that took us from Toronto to Charlevoix, via Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and beyond. What an adventure for our family! Five of us took part in this trip: my wife and I, along with our 2 teenagers, Olivia (16) and Arthur (14), and our youngest, Emma (2). Here are our impressions.
Our first big family trip, all together, since our first confinement. That’s how high our expectations were! An itinerant trip that took our breath away. Canada is big, it’s beautiful and the contrast between its magnificent green countryside, its American cities and its typical villages offers a total change of scenery.
We had the good idea of ending our stay by calling on Little Guest to spend 3 days at Club Med Charlevoix before heading home. We wanted to be able to recharge our batteries, and we wanted everyone to enjoy the last days of the trip at their own pace.
Located on Le Massif de Charlevoix, Club Med was the perfect place to enjoy the mountains one last time, while keeping an eye on the St. Lawrence River that runs right underneath. A magnificent sight. And so was the welcome, which was perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with perfection. Everything was ready at check-in. We had chosen 2 communicating rooms; one for our teenagers and the other for us and our little Emma.
We were not disappointed, to say the least. The rooms were spacious and carefully decorated. Emma was also welcomed as she should have been: her bed was ready in our room and accessories and bath sets were waiting for her in the bathroom. It was a great start to our stay.
This brand-new Club Med still had its share of (very) pleasant surprises in store for us. With its all-inclusive formula, the restaurant delighted our taste buds from morning to night, to the delight of young and old alike. Careful, varied cuisine as only the finest Club Med can offer. Every day, the menu met the expectations of the whole family. A real delight!
As for the activities on offer, in addition to the swimming pool and spa, which are accessible at all times in the hotel, we were able to discover hiking and mountain biking. Accompanied by trained mountain guides, we were able to enjoy these sporting activities at Le Massif, while our little Emma was pampered at the baby-club. For her too, the vacations were synonymous with fun and relaxation. The baby-club’s brand-new facilities, both indoors and out, encouraged the children to play and laugh.
An all-inclusive holiday that the whole family enjoyed, especially our youngest daughter, who had the time of her life! An all-inclusive vacation that will leave us with indelible memories.
