It is not just a postcard that we enjoy contemplating. It’s a capital that breathes, tastes and sees. Lisbon has made us dream with its sweetness of life, its pavements bordered by the Tagus and its divine sense of hospitality. A solid reputation precedes the city of a thousand and one colours. We were eager to put our suitcases down in this rare jewel that is the Martinhal Chiado, a place where we could relax and find ourselves after a long day walking in the streets of the city.

The Martinhal Chiado Lisbon exceeded all our expectations! Have you ever stayed more than 300 km from home without leaving the pleasant feeling of being at home? Everything has been thought out here to make families feel at ease. Nestled in the heart of Lisbon, just steps away from the busiest streets of the city, the Martinhal Chiado is truly the ideal starting point for a successful family holiday. What about the warm welcome and the staff of the hotel who are always caring and whose smiles are undeniably the hotel’s hallmark?

What can I say? Happy tribes need space and this family understood this well. So that’s our apartment. The one we had seen so many photos of during the weeks before our stay. A haven of peace in the heart of the city: a master bedroom, a sleeping area in the living room for our little boy angels (there are larger apartments for larger families), a fully equipped bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and contemporary and elegant furnishings, simply irresistible for our city break. Moving in was not difficult…

If the apartment has handily filled its part of the contract, we also fell for the multitude of services offered by this 5-star establishment. A restaurant with bold decor delighted our senses several times during the stay. We had the chance to enjoy a fabulous breakfast served every morning in our room or in the hotel restaurant, which offers a varied buffet consisting of pastries, pastries, fresh juices, various eggs, typical charcuterie and many more. other delicacies. A feast for the eyes as well as for our taste buds! Every afternoon, our kid also enjoyed a delicious snack. The M Bar was also our refuge for our first evening spent in Lisbon. Exhausted by the trip, we had the opportunity to listen to a fabulous acoustic concert dubbed with tapas flavors.

At Martinhal Chiado, a kids club is also available for small guests. We have rarely seen such an attractive club for toddlers, no matter how old they are. Our kid particularly enjoyed spending a few evenings with fellow students from around the world.

The reception of the kids-club is extraordinary, the nurses are experienced and reassuring and the infrastructure is remarkable. A nice corner decorated with big tents was arranged for the parents who want to spend an amusing moment with their baby. Everything is there for you, really!

During our stay, we learned that Martinhal Chiado guests have access to the swimming pools and facilities of the Martinhal Cascais Family Hotel, just 30 minutes away. With the heat of the city, the idea of ​​taking advantage of another Martinhal address with a swimming pool made us very happy – we were happily on our way to paradise. Imposing, majestic, refined and preserved, the Martinhal Cascais is a real gem of the hotel industry. Here, after a hearty breakfast, we headed to one of the pools that make up the estate. The swimming area is grandiose and impeccably maintained. The loungers in the shade of palm trees welcomed us. We had a wonderful day of bubbling and enjoying the restaurant and children’s games with bouncy cushions and the multi-sports grounds. Needless to say, the place is an Eden for families looking for recreation, relaxation and sharing in a truly exceptional setting.

You will have understood, at Martinhal Chiado, all care is taken of families by all the establishments of the group (with Sagres and Quinta in the Algarve region) which seduced us. A real joy that is already pushing us to consider new Portuguese escapades…
